The Richmond Bunk Bed's arch and slat design, gives it a classic feel that will surely fit with your child's bedroom style. Designed for durability, the Richmond is comprised of Eco-friendly Hardwood and is available in four of our exclusive high build Five Step Finishes. It has a solid mortise and tenon construction with 26 steel reinforcement points and includes two 14 piece slat kits, making box springs and Bunkie Boards unnecessary. The Richmond Bunk Bed is available in Twin over Twin and can accept under bed storage drawers or a trundle bed giving you more storage or sleeping space.

Slat Kits

All of Atlantic's platform beds, bunk beds and captain's beds feature a 14 piece slat kit. Attaching to the side rails the slat kit serves to both support a mattress and/or foundation as well as further strengthen the bed. The adjustable height center support system provides years of worry free use.

Our innovative slat kit provides the perfect base for your mattress. The open design allows air circulation for added comfort. When using a memory foam or latex mattress, a foundation or second slat kit is recommended.

The two center support legs attach securely with dowels and bolts. Use the short leg with a mattress and foundation - use the long leg with a mattress and storage drawers. The center supports are designed to hang just off the floor when there is no weight on the bed. This allows you to move the bed without damaging your floor or the slat support system.
